Summer Trials
The weekend was really good if a bit sleep deprived. The more that happens with our young principality, the greater the pride I have in our group. The event was run well, things were almost always on time and if the time needed to be pushed back in order for the product to be better, it was. The two meals I actually had time for were tasty and filling. The battlegames had enough reeves that situations were quickly handled and any holds called were due to injury and event then they were handled quickly. Everyone's attitude was good and the conversations were lively. The lack of night ditching meant that thenight life was amazing, there were usually two campfires full of song or stories and a lot of comaraderie to be had. Only one incidence of someone getting too drunk to stand.
Oderic's knighting was an amazing ceremony and I am so glad to have been a part of it, even if all I did was read the scroll.
The weekend was so taxing but so amazingly fulfilling at the same time. I have rekindled the passion I have for a game I love. But mostly the weekend just helped me clear my head and help me get things in order up there. Now I need to work on getting everything perfect for when our daughter comes, I can't wait to meet her.
