incest

a quite interesting look at a question "why should a state prosecute ADULT related people from having sex?"

i am quite interested in the intellectual side of this debate mostly because it is one of tha slippery slope arguments for accepting normalcy of homosexuality

but to be completely honest - yes, logically i do not see a reason to prosecude adult sane men and women for having sex with each other
and i find argument in the article (break up of "usual" family roles) not satisfying

PS

this argument makes more sense to me:

"Other courts view children as forever-and-always minors when it comes to sexual relationships with their parents: Law professor J. Dean Carro, told me, "Regardless of the age of the child, there's still a theory that a parent is always a parent, a child is always a child and, as a result, there truly can't be a consensual sexual act.""

PPS

According to a 2007 report by the Max Planck Institute (via WRS), China, France, Israel, the Ivory Coast, the Netherlands, Russia, Spain and Turkey do not have any prohibitions on consensual incest between adults.

thoughts, interesting
