- Why does it feel so hard to write a couple of words on Epic of Gilgamesh? I mean, it's not that big of a deal and it's certainly not that intricate or anything. You lose, C.
- I'm watching way too much television. And criticise the ridiculous state of my own country's psuedo-entertainment business. Sometimes- ok, not sometimes- I always feel like I was born in the wrong place, in wrong time and in wrong circumstences. See, I'm cheerful tonight.
- I'm reading the Twilight the Book series and it's unbelievable how much I'm damaging myself consciously for this cheap, teen semi-horror, sappy romance novel. Now I'm not saying all romance novels are cheap or sappy and overtly-cliched, but no one's saying that they don't have to be. But mosty I'm reading for the entertainment value and The Hype.
- Speaking of the Hype, I got into a few shows because of how much cyber-people here on LJ are raving about their favourite shows. It's all a bit ambivalent since I could spend my precious time doing much-needed school work or improving something I do poorly. But who needs that?!
- Things I'm plannig on catching up this week: Robin Hood! You might be confused and got into a mocking mode (which I totally did, btw) but wait until you see and then decide 'cause this show has got the most cracktastic, overachieving hero ever and its cheesiness makes me happy like Doctor Who never did before. (because when Doctor Who is cheesy, it's disgustingly bad) Also, Robin is no Ten and it has Richard Armitage! For those you shameful ones who don't know him, he was playing on the BBC mini series North and South and I don't remember how many times I watched that costume drama. It was absurdly good. (I still haven't read the book, though. Note to self: remember to drop by Pandora)
- I also watch Gossip Girl. Because it has ridiculously good clothes, pretty girls, pretty boys, gorgeous places, exaggerated storylines that always looked awkward on The O.C and general shallowness. Mostly, just watch the show for this reason only and you'll be satisfied. Oh, and how could I forget them? Blair/Chuck is just so incredibly hot, wrong and simply amazing for their chemistry. I haven't been this affected by a TV couple for a looong, long time. So YAY.
- I offered my friend to go to Beowulf for the lolz but she was distressed by Angelina Jolie's nakedness.
- Just so you know, I'll continue reading Twilight because I'm curious and always has this obsessive tendency to finish everything I read (however dreadful they might be.) And it's not that bad. Just don't ever compare it with Potter.
new shows oh noes,
obsessions,
