1) The plot of today's Star Trek related Google doodle (doodle archive) is "Kirk fights a Gorn again." I mean, we're obviously meant to think it's a light-hearted retelling of Original Series episode "The Arena", but

I'm not so sure the Gorn are eager to relive the events of "Arena". I bet that Gorn captain's friends are always like "Hey Glorthak, remember when that human shot you in the chest?" and "Uh, here comes a human! Better hide the saltpeter before he makes a rudimentary cannon and shoots Glorthak in the chest!"
