Didn't bother watching the Oscars last night, for me it would mean waking up at 04:00am…and I've lost touch with Hollywood anyway…though I still like watching the gowns and the jokes…but it hasn't been the same since Whoopee and Billy no longer host it. They should let Robin William host it. That would be a hoot.
Okay, I slept in a little.

We don't watch the Oscars either. They don't vote for the movies that people actually go to see. Although I'm glad they caved in and gave Heath Ledger an award for his acting in The "Dark Knight" - which should have won movie of the year instead of that boring "Slumdog Millionaire." The oscars are like people who see beauty in art that bores the living heck out of the average person (the majority). So, why broadcast awards for a tiny portion of the world's audience? I don't understand it.
Enjoy your day!

I love the glitz and glamour. Would love to own an Oscar worthy gown one day. Used to dream about giving an Oscar away or getting one.
Yeah, the Oscars are Artsy Fartsy. Before I was a mother and before this work place became so busy, I used to take a day off in order to stay up and watch the Oscars. I enjoyed the humored and the glamour, and their always a few movies I support. I haven't watched Slumdog Millionaire…I'll wait for it to play on TV…but collegues have said they enjoyed it.
Haven't seen "Dark Knight" but I'm glad they honored Heath Ledger with the Oscar. It's hard to recognize him with the make up. It's mind boggling to think that he is no longer with us. Just watched Broback Mountain the other day. Sad {both the movie and his passing>
