I've been asekd for the recipe so I figure I'll share it with you.
btw, this is the easy version...you can always dress it up and cook it in home made tomato sauce.
My mom used to make this and I'm a big vegtable eater and this is one of my comfort foods:
I don't know what qty. I use of Green beans...but basically:
I cut off the top and tale of the green beans, then I cut the beans to either 2 or 3 pcs. depending on how long they are.
1 chopped onion.
I put some olive oil [1 -2 spoons] in a medium sized saucepan and fry the chopped onion until they are transparent and nice smelling.
I add the green beans and one small box (100 grams) of tomato paste...use two if you are making a lot of beans,
boiling water to cover and add some soup powder [ 2 - 3 tsp] for flavor (optional)
stir and cover on a low to medium light, till beans are soft enough. served warm.
