I was on youtube watching the deleted scenes of K3G when I saw links to deleted scenes from Kal Ho Naa Ho. Why didn't I realize it had deleted scenes? And why did my DVD of the film not come with these extras??!! WANT.
I love the impassioned and dramatic diary reading scene used in the film, but this slightly more quiet and subtle version may be better. If only I could speak Hindi or read German...or if there was at least one with English subs! Of course, now I must hunt down a copy with the extras and buy it because I'm insane like that. Argh. (And is it sad that I can follow what they're saying by understanding some of the Hindi rather better than by trying to read the German subs?)
I wish they would have left the community center scenes in because it would have given Naina a storyline outside of her family and the two guys. As for the introduction scene, I think it matches better with the ending, and I'd love it if it had more pictures as evidence that Rohit and Naina did have a happy and loving life together (Why isn't he in some of the pictures with Naina and their daughter?). I love this movie to death, but one of my complaints would be that they didn't convey that very well and the ending felt flat because of it. Naina should have been the one telling Rohit that she loved him (rather than him saying that he hadn't expressed his love in a few days...wtf) or at least responded to him with an "I love you too" instead of leaving the impression that their relationship is still slightly unrequited after all those years. Poor Rohit. :(
I wish I knew what Aman was saying to Jennifer in their crying scene, and I'm confused about what's going on/the sequence of the more informal wedding party at their cafe. Basically, I need English subtitles. WANT.
The K3G deleted scenes simply reaffirm that Rahul + Anjali = ♥, and the shopping mall sequence is cute. Why didn't Karan leave these scenes in the film? The movie is already 3 1/2 hours long...what more would 30 more minutes make? :P
