Bollywood and Obama
I don't know why the subject line gives me so much lolz, but it does. *giggles*
Last night, I had a dream that ailillvalkyrie* sent me an email that said something like, "It may be of interest to you to turn on your news. *wags eyebrows*" ...Ooookay. Right-o. But always trusting ailillvalkyrie and being very curious, I turned on my television and saw a news clip of an interview with Shahrukh Khan near the Houston Galleria. The reporter said that the actor was shooting scenes today (and today only) in the metropolitan area for his latest Bollywood film. With that, SRK put on his shades ( à la this icon), slid into his limousine, and the clip ended. Me = 0_0
Well of course I wanted to stalkwatch the filming, but I couldn't bring myself to tell my parents why I needed to use the car (while I should be inside working on a ten page paper). So, although she thought I was being stupid, my friend reluctantly agreed to help me sneak out of the house and take us there in her car. But while we were driving, we heard on the radio that Obama** was campaigning in Houston today (and today only) on the opposite side of town from where SRK was going to be. We spent the rest of the dream trying to decide which one to go to, and I think we ended up doing neither. How typical of us...
I woke up this morning with a bit of an itch to turn on the news or google "Shahrukh + Houston" and "Obama + Houston". *facepalm* If only Houston was half as interesting!
*I guess my subconscious associates ailillvalkyrie with supporting my fannish tendencies? Hee!
**Obama may have popped up in my dream because I made a donation to his campaign right before falling asleep last night, and I'll be damned if it didn't feel good! My hopeful heart was chanting "Yes, I can!" while my meager bank account was arguing "No. You really shouldn't!" Glad my heart won this round. :) Anyway, it was a very fitting (albeit cracked) dream because my 2 favorite topics (other than complaining) at the moment are politics and Bollywood. As evident in my dream, those two things go together so well.
