maybe wyte_phantom, rosenkavalier and myself could do a modern re-write of I-33 for mag lite and buckler techniques..

That might be rather interesting to practice - I'd certainly be up for a go at it next time I'm up at your end of the world...

Hey we could be onto something here, lets face it bucklers are so bloody usefull, bet you could have put one to good use when the 3 scum tried to rob you.
Did i ever tell you about Roger Lankford trying to sell a modified version of his bucklers to Thames Valley police?

God yes, that would have been very satisfying.

No, I hadn't heard about that. I imagine they'd be very effective...

By the way, the copy of the 'Bartitsu Companion' I ordered turned up last week - it a very interesting (and practical looking) section on defense with a bicycle...

Yeah they where his standard 12/14 inch diameter ones (can't remember the exact sizes), but they had a heavy rubber outside coating, apparently it acted as a lovely blade/syringe trap.
Still i think a nice new Uber spikey Germanic gothic one will suffice for my needs, you know like the one i am building for you.

The bartitsu stuff sounds great, wyte_phantom sent me some web links a while ago to some of the bartitsu stuff it was the cane work, magic stuff.
The bicycle techniques must be quite relevant to you, mind you the little spray can i sent you should also prove usefull.
I believe lord_semjaza put one to good use recently rather ironically it was on a chav who was riding a bicycle.

Thank you, no its just small amounts of scrap metals.
The recent HUGE price rises in the metals markets have made previously unattractive stuff very tempting for the local druggies etc..
so we have had to alter things around, put in more security etc, if we don't they will just keep coming back.
The break in at the building site is probably because the extra security on the scrap yard has put them off going in there.
Still i am not counting on it, i will be sticking around here until into the new year at least, to see if i can dispense some Christmas joy to the little W£%&er's!!! pardon my French....

Yes i shall give you a call and we must chat about stuff in general, and likewise i hope to get a package of to you soon.
How long will you be in London for, as i assume you will be back of to Washington for the Christmas break?

Okay i shall get Christmas stuff to you before You fly and do say hello to the Suetekh for me when you see her.
I shall also have to arrange a visitation to misty Cornwall for the new year and take Esdi and Jenny down there with me.

The higher prices are a double edges sword, yes you can make a bit more, but you also have to pay more for them.
Everyone else is chasing scrap all that harder and grades of metal that people were not to so keen on they will now put in stronger bids for etc.
All this is in a shrinking supply market with the demise of manufacturing in the U.K. but we are still here and making a profit so what more can you ask?

be careful. My dad nearly got arrested for wielding one of the large maglites at someone who was threatening me.Didn't do it on purpose, he just happened to be holding it!
Apparently they are considered to be potentially lethal!

Yeah be carefull where you do it.
As this is ALL on my private property and it's dark and health and safety demands i use a suitable light well it's not such an issue.
And if they want to push it that's fine by me, because they have to stand up in court and give their details as well as me.

So as the old saying goes "we know where you live"!!!!!!!

I would not like to be the chavscum who decide breaking into your place was a smart move. Let's see just how 'reasonable force' you can get on their sorry arses. Was sad not to see you for Thanksgiving...

Oh i shall be very "reasonable" with them provided they go quietly and if not well scrap yards ARE a treacherous place at night especially if you go running/climbing through the scrap to try and avoid a stretch inside.
I know i have seen it happen before.

Yes i was not a happy camper at all, at having to miss thanksgiving i really wanted to see you and those insane but lovable Yank's.
However father is 77 now and despite his age he will go of over there on his own.
I don't doubt his courage, but people are not like they where 20 years ago and he IS a lot older now, so i cant leave it to him.
I shall have to make sure someone reliable is about to cover for me when i am away next.
This will be a lot easier if they are also looking after my new house which is right next to the scrap yars and just accross the road from Isengard.
Oh boy i will not need a television anymore, far better thing to do in there...

Sorry to hear about the break-ins; seems as if you've almost had fun fortifying the castle grounds, though. ;)
Shall we wear armour when we visit Satyrsday?

Well if you want to bring armour with you that's fine by me, but i do have a house full of the stuff, and friends are allways welcome to use my arsenal, so it will save you the trouble of packing it.

Cool. Well, then, as long as we can get from the garden to the front door w/out stepping on any landmines we'll be okay. :)

Yes my house is quite safe, it's the scrap yard that you don't want to go running around in, especially when it is dark.
