inescapable
Tennis was cancelled this morning due to rain. Dad told me that, I rolled over and promptly forgot tennis ever existed on a Friday morning. I slept until about 11 and then we went to pizza hut for lunch. It was nice. ...It was weird that the one lady who works at pizza hut recognized us though. Like...we don't go there all that often...
And then...uh. I think I played on Evil E for the rest of the day. Checked my Nova email, had some info about my schedule. ...I have not managed to escape calculus.
Speaking of, I bought this book of bizarre facts (Bathroom Reader makes it, it's spiffy) and in there it says the word "calculus" originated from a latin word for "pebble" because back then people kept tallies and such using small rocks. It made me laugh.
(Sidenote: It also said, on one page, "Foxes pollinate flowers." If you also understand why this is small irony and large hilarity, you get three points and a cookie.)
Got the book at Sam's Club, which is where we went to buy stuff for the beach, like plasticware and snacks for the car. We leave in a week! Next week at this time, I'll be sleeping at the Holiday Inn in NC! Yay!
I'll probably go to bed pretty soon, because tomorrow is quite literally my last Saturday at home before I go to college and I want to enjoy it. ...Wow. I just now figured that out...and it's scary...but awesome at the same time.
