And we come to a speedbump...

So I noticed today while I was running that I don't run correctly. I run only on my toes. Now, when I was younger from when I learned to walk to the first few years of my life I was always on my toes. I walked, ran, jump and just stood in place on them. My parents thought there was something wrong with me and took me to a few doctors and they said I was fine and that I just felt like doing it... I know, I am strange. As I got older I realized I had what was had a "heel" and be again to use it. I still walk up the stairs on my heels but that’s all I thought I did. I noticed it because I could always feel the burn in my calf and wonder why. I began to focus on my running and felt that my heel never touches the ground. At all. I barely even left my arches in my feet touch. As soon as I was done training I went home and began to look it up because I was worried about if it will affect me in anyway. Well, I read that in the long run yes, it will. It can really mess up my legs, knees and ankles. Those of you who are close to me, know about my knee issues and I don't need anything messing those up anymore. It is a good thing I caught this so soon because I read peoples post about how they where training and had to pretty much start over and was pushed back 6 months to a year. Never being able to do the marathon they were training for. I do need to push back a bit. I need to go back to speed walking a bit and really concentrate on the form and movement of my body. It’s going to be hard since I have probably done this my whole life but it’s something I’ve got to do. I am thinking about going to a specialist to make sure there is nothing wrong and maybe see if I need a different type of shoes. I’m going to also try to warm up exercises to really keep my feet firm to the ground. Maybe some yoga or something. I’m not sure. I am going to study it some more.

P.S.
I love oreos. They are my favorite cookies in the whole world. Just give me a box and a glass of mix and its sex to me. So, as a motivation for myself to finish the race I've decided someone needs to be waiting at the end of the race with some milk and a box of oreos. I haven't had any in months and won't until I finish the race. It sucks, but it is a prize for me. So, the question I have is this; who will be the person that will be waiting at the end of the race with a box of oreos and a glass of milk for me? Any takers?
