No, what I don't want is for it and articles like it to exist in the first place. If you can tell me what value it has, then yes, I will get over myself. Because even for entertainment value it's not really that interesting; not like the time this guy shot 12 staples into his head and somehow managed to live. THAT is a miracle. Or the time the guy was mountain climbing and he got his arm stuck under a rock so he amputated it himself. Was the lawnmower story so special that it had to go on the "Breaking News" section of the Herald website, right next to the headline? No. It's just filling the front page with crap when I'm willing to bet there are more substantial things deserving mention.

even though i really didn t. Reporting news is someone s job, and when there is nothing else to report that is airable or printable in the United States, cause obviously there is always somehting more pressing going on than lawnmowers SOME where in the world, things like THAT make it on air. This story is relatively neutral. I m just saying stop whining about it, it s not gonna change. Unless you stop posting about it in Livejournal and actually DO something about it.

Not only that, but the Herald is a localized paper.

BTW, the Herald has been deemed one of the worst papers in the country by many reputable sources. I wouldn t count on it as a reliable news source.
