Summary:

Jin loved his brother so much. But one day Reio lied to him about seeing his friend Kazuya in Hokkaido ,he was in over happiness little did he know that he’ll meet his death on a fire. After the eventful night Jin wanted revenge and he will definitely make Kazuya want that he’s the one dead and not Reio.

Chapter 23

Kazuya’s eyes blinked and the light blinded him. The place was so unfamiliar. He looked sideways and saw people around him.

“Kame!” Junno shouted in happiness while Ryo looked at him dangerously then gave Kazuya a smile.

Yamapi who is seated beside him, smiled tiredly.

“Kame! We really missed you…” Junno said in happiness with tears on his face. “How are you feeling??”

Kazuya looked more at the place but didn’t find any one else that somehow made him feel worthless. But then he forced a smile back to Junno.

“I-I’m okay” he fake a smile and tried to sit but he felt a great pain on his back. Suddenly memories of what happened were brought back to him. He slowly remembered how he was molested and a tear fell down from his eyes unconsciously.

“Kame, don’t force yourself yet” Yamapi noted as he pushed him caringly back to his bed.

“Don’t worry about anything. I’ll be always here…” he looked at him and wiped his tear with his fingers.

Kazuya forced to nod and smile.

“I said don’t force it…” Yamapi said as he caressed his face. “Everything will be alright” he assured giving Kazuya a genuine smile.

Junno faked a cough “Hey, hey we’re here too…” Junno said ruining the mood. Ryo rolled his eyes and laughed.

“Did you know that Yamashita’s already living here!” Junno rolled his eyes jokingly “Please let us take care of Kame…”he added looking at Yamapi.

“Kame, I brought foods from my place. My mother made this for you so you should eat this. She said that this will help you heal faster” Junno winked and placed it beside him.

“Thank you…” he uttered.

They were like this for the whole day. Trying their best to entertain him although Kazuya can see through it. For him it felt like they were laughing at him behind his back. Thinking of how dirty he is, probably these people pities him so much. That’s why at some time when they’re all laughing he’ll suddenly cry.

It pains him even more that Jin is not here with them. Did he really love him? Even just once? Or is it just really pity all this time. He smiled bitterly to himself, Jin’s not even here. Probably he’s happy with his girlfriend now. In any way you look at, no one would like him after what happened. He’s just a trash in this world.

He want to disappear.

At night time when everything is dark, his state just worsens. No one in the room but him. His body shivers in pain and he’s crying uncontrollably. He can remember everything.

He panic when he felt the wind outside and hurriedly stood up from the bed ignoring the pain he felt. He sat in a corner and cried. He cried and hurt himself to make him not remember the sad memories. He felt more alarmed as minute passed. He cannot sleep. He saw Reio sitting beside him, suddenly he became delusional.

“Kazuya…don’t cry” he heard Reio then his mother popped in front of him caressing his hair. Then a minute passed and now the men who molested him gathered in front of him.

“Look at you… so dirty” they smirked and laughed maniacally.

“S-Stop it” he begged and closed his eyes. His memories feel so true.

His eyes widened, or is it? He looked again then they’re not there anymore but Rina.

“My son didn’t love you!” Rina shouted as he crawled backwards. He doesn’t want to hear this. He stood up and stumbled on his way opposite of where he saw Rina.

Blood where oozing out from his wrists and the parts where he wounded his self purposely.

“You know what pity is?? That’s just what he felt!”

“STOP! please stop this…” he cried out begging.  “Stop!”

He heard Rina laughed then he hurt himself more to let the memories go away.

“Jin…” he cried then the door suddenly opens revealing the man he just called for.

“Jin?” he said, his eyes widened.

“God! Kazuya!” Jin rushed towards him and carried him back to the bed.

“Jin! You’re here…” he smiled happily and hugged him as if he’s real.

“I’m here” Jin assured and caressed his back. “Don’t hurt yourself like this…” Jin said worriedly “…I’ll just call the doctor”

“NO!” Kazuya said alarmed “Don’t let go of my hand, or else you’ll go away…” he said sadly.

“I will not go if you don’t want me to go but first we need to get the doctors…” Jin explained worried about Kazuya.

Kazuya shook his head “Please… just now” he said and started crying again. “…or else they’ll come back here”

“Shhh don’t cry” Jin hugged him and caressed his back “They will not come anymore… so don’t worry”

“They’re just here!” Kazuya reasoned out and his hands trembled and started crying again.

The scene hurt Jin more. Kazuya trembled on his arms.

“Jin…” Kazuya uttered.

“Hm?”

“Do you still love me?” he asked cautiously.

“ always. I love you…” Jin said caressing his head “…always remember that”

“I’m sorry that I didn’t protect you” Jin said guiltily.

Kazuya shook his head and smiled.

“I love you too. I love you so much that I could do everything just to make you happy.”

Jin smiled and a tear of guilt fell from him.

“But I know you will disappear again…I’m just happy that I still have you in my memory” Kazuya said sadly.

Jin frowned “What are you talking about? You will always have me”

Kazuya shook his head and looked at him “I know the truth”

Jin frowned more this time upon hearing his next words “Jin’s with someone now. He’s in love with somebody else, and it’s not me”

“I’m here! Kazuya I love you…” Jin promised but Kazuya just smile.

“I’m just really happy to see you…” Kazuya said and hugged him “It feels so real” he said and smile.

“I’m real…it’s you I love” Jin said and comforted him but then he felt a steady breathing on him.

“Kazuya?”

He looked at him and saw that he is already sleeping. He carefully placed him back to his bed and caressed the face he missed so much. But the face was filled with sadness and fear now. He stood up to call for the doctors.

That night and every night he’s always there, watching him.

Kazuya blinked his eyes as he could hear voices. It’s already morning and it’s as if nothing happened last night.

“Junno?” he uttered.

“Kame-chan! Good morning!” he smiled brightly.

“What happened to your arms?” Yamapi asked worriedly.

“Eh?” Kazuya looked curiously at his arms and said “I don’t know…”

Yamapi looked at him and to his arms “I’m sure they’re not here when I was with you yesterday…” he said caressing the banages on his arm. “Did someone come here last night??”

“I can’t remember” he stated. Yamapi’s eyes furrowed and looked at him. “I can’t really remember…” he said, apologetically.

“It’s okay” Yamapi just said and caressed his face and smiled at him. “Here, drink your medicine.”

Jin walked to the living room as he finished dressing up. “Let’s go” he ordered.

“Akanishi, I’m afraid… I don’t want to do it”

“You will tell everything to the police!” Jin shouted angrily “You are going to do it if you don’t want to end in jail… cooperate with me or Rina? choose… ”

“I’m sure Rina would get mad and he’ll make me go to prison… I don’t want to it!” he cried out.

“What??” Jin smirked “You should be thankful that I’m cooperating with you. I’ll make sure Rina would end in jail and everyone who made him like this”

“She is still your mother, so why would I trust that you wouldn’t side with her when the time comes?” Ueda doubted.

“I don’t have a mother the day he did that to Kazuya. I don’t care what will happen to me, to you, or to anyone. I just want to make things right for Kazuya” Jin declared.

“and I’ll do everything just to make it right”

By the time they were in the police’ office Ueda told everything he knows. They filed a lawsuit against Akanishi Rina. They immediately arrested her but the other men with her cannot be find.

“Jin!? What is the meaning of this?”

“You’re being arrested” Jin declared as he started to walk out from the place.

“Jin!” Rina called angrily “Why are you doing this to me! I am your mother!” she shouted.

“Jin!”

“I don’t remember having a mother” he stated “from now on you should also just forget having a disrespectful son…” he smirked bitterly.

“Jin!” she called out again and again then saw Ueda. “Ueda…” she gritted her teeth.

“UEDA! YOU! How could you! we we’re together in this! Arrest him too!” she ordered the police but they just ignore her.

“Let’s go” Jin said to Ueda making him turn his back against Rina as they both left the place.

“What are we going to do?”

“You should visit Kazuya and apologize” Jin answered “…he needs his bestfriend back”

Ueda cried silently “I-I can’t…”

“Do you know why I didn’t let you go to prison?” Jin looked at Ueda “…because Kame considers you as his bestfriend and I know he’ll recover quickly from depression if he can have your company again.”

“Just act normal around him. He needs to know you’re still with him. I know he’ll be happy” Jin smiled sadly and started to walk away.

“B-but where are you going??”

“I’m still hunting down two monsters, right?” Jin made him remember.

“It’s dangerous… let’s ask for the police to do that” Ueda suggested

“Didn’t I tell you… I don’t care anymore” Jin stated “I just need to do this… because this time I’ll truly protect him”

“I’m sorry Jin…” Ueda uttered when Jin turned his back.

Jin drove to where a friend of his told information about the whereabouts of the two men who molested Kazuya.

He was dressed in black suit with sunglasses and fedora to hide his eyes. He entered the casino and didn’t waste time until he spotted the two men in Ueda’s description. His blood boiled in anger as he saw them laughing with ladies sitting in their laps.

He clenched his fist and took a seat near them. Trying to hear their conversation. It is not smart to have a fight here but his body is trembling uncontrollably with anger. He pushed his sunglasses up and ordered a whiskey, waiting for the right time until he can follow them one by one on less vulgar place.

“Damn you, just wait until I’ll kill you…” he murmured on his drink, controlling his emotions.

And after many hours they finally went out that Jin hurriedly followed. Once he was outside he thought he lost sight of them when one of them talked behind him.

“Akanishi Jin…” he heard him smirked and felt a hand in his back which he quickly swatted and punch him hard on his face.

“It seems that you already know me, bastard” Jin gritted and was about to throw another punch when his hand was caught by the other man.

“Hey hey that’s not a nice welcome” he said under his breath. This time Jin threw a kick.

“Well, I’m here to kill you so a nice welcome is unnecessary!” he sneered and quickly threw hard punches on both of them.

“Oh a revenge because we had a good fuck with your boyfriend?” the taller one smirked lasciviously that just doubled up Jin’s anger. He landed a punch on the guy’s stomach making him stumble on the road. But then he received a punch and kick from the other guy behind him.

“Fuck you! How dare you land your dirty hands on him! I will never forgive you!” Jin shouted.

“He’s really tight, if I may say… and we could have another round with him anytime~” he said and gave him another kick.

“He was actually calling for your name that time. Poor him you’re not there but probably the result will just be the same. Look at you, can’t stand with our punch”

“But we can have a threesome with him some time after he gets out from that hospital, what about that?” the smaller guy suggested.

“You can’t do that because I’m going to kill you here” he declared and looked at them.

They just laughed and threw punches on him and kicked him. Having the two of them was not his advantage. He was worn out, he looked at the time and smirked.

“What are you smiling there?” the man said “I thought you’re going to kill us? I think it will be the opposite”

“We’re done with the playing, Akanishi” the other said as he brought out a gun and directed it at Jin who crawled away.

“Oh look at you, you just look like your boyfriend just that he’s not with his clothes” they said and laughed.

The man shoot Jin’s left knee as he hissed in pain.

He waited for another minute and suddenly they were surrounded by police cars that surprised the men.

“I’d rather see you suffering in jail for your whole life…” Jin sneered at them.

“BASTARD!!”

They tried to run away but failed. When Jin saw it he laid his head on the ground and smiled while closing his eyes.

It satisfied him. Now he had revenge. He opened his eyes again and smile fade away.

Ueda hesitated to open the door at first. He can hear voices from inside that he doesn’t know what to do and how to act in front of them. He betrayed his own bestfriend.

When he was about to leave the door opened.

“Ueda??” Junno called as he froze on his spot.

“Ueda! Kame-chan is inside, why don’t you go in? Come on” Junno insisted and pulled Ueda’s hand.

“No…Taguchi, please…I can’t” he pleaded but when he was inside he met with Kazuya’s eyes. All of his tears seemed to be so heavy that time that he couldn’t hold it back anymore.

“K-Kame…”

“ I’m sorry” Ueda uttered, crying.

“How dare you…” Yamapi cursed but then he felt Kazuya hand on his arm.

“It’s okay…” he said and turned to look at Ueda. He extended his arms and smiled to him that made Ueda cry more.

Ueda quickly hugged Kazuya. It’s a true hug and it felt like ages since he last felt it. “I’m sorry Kame… I’m sorry… please forgive me…”

“I understand… it’s okay now…” he assured and smiled “I really missed you…”

“Kame…” Ueda continued crying on his shoulder “I will never do that again… I’m really sorry”

“Tat-chan…”

At morning it seemed okay but when it begins to dark and he’s all alone again. Memories make him in pain and it’s not getting better but rather the opposite. Every day it worsens and hurts himself more.

He cries in the corner of the room and trembling. His delusions are getting worse that he can’t control it and it seemed real to him at some point.

But tonight his nightmares were too out of control because Jin didn’t appear.

“Tell me what’s happening to him?? I found him lying on the floor with blood and wounds on his body!” Yamapi shouted in concern and fisted the papers the doctor gave to him.

“He’s experiencing post traumatic disease” the doctor explained “He experienced too many painful things and his trauma shows off now. He tends to hurt himself, seeing delusions, suicidal… if he can’t survive this he might kill himself or get insane…”

“W-what??” Yamapi uttered in shock. He looked at the documents “Then what do we need to do about it??”

“This is not a good idea, but I think he needs a therapy…”

“If it’s a therapy then give it to him, money is not a problem. I’ll pay it” Yamapi declared.

“A therapy to restructure his memories” the doctor said “it will erase the sad memories and implant other memories to him.”

“You should talk this to other persons close to him, and we need to schedule it as soon as possible before he destroys himself” the doctor warned.

Yamapi take a look at Kazuya’s wounded face. He slightly touched his face down and saw how much Kazuya’s in pain. Restructuring his memory? He has no right to decide on this. He might be selfish but he wants to see Kazuya smile again, to be cheerful again and if it’s the only way then he’s going to do it.

All of a sudden a tear fell down from his eyes. “….Jin” he cried out in his sleep.

“Jin…” Yamapi said and clenched his fist.

Jin opened the door and saw Yamapi standing beside Kazuya’s bed.  He looked at Jin and saw the bruises on his face but didn’t bother it. They grew apart since what happened to Kazuya. No one talked and contacted each other but no one is blaming anyone.

“You should also visit him in the morning with us…”

“I don’t know if he still wants to see me” Jin smiled bitterly.

“The doctor said he’s having a post - traumatic disease. He’s suggesting for him to have a therapy to restructure his memories. So you should stay until morning” Yamapi said as he exited the room.

“Then I think that would be good. He in so much pain now. Maybe if he’ll forget about these then he can live back with us normally” Jin said and Yamapi force to smile.

He left the two of them. Besides Jin still has the right to see him. They’re just experiencing the same pain.

Morning came. Everyone hurried to go to hospital to start the discussion regarding Kazuya. But as Jin counted the minutes before Kazuya opened his eyes his heart beats faster.

This will be the first morning Kazuya’s going to see him and he doesn’t know what will be the younger one’s reaction.

He walked forward then backward, cannot stay put in one place because of so much emotions riled to him. Little did he notice that Kazuya’s already looking at him.

He had a blank stare on him. Jin couldn’t talk and tears suddenly welled up on his eyes that he needed to wipe it off before the others entered the room.

“Akanishi, what are you doing here??” Junno asked irritated but Ryo and Ueda stopped him from talking more.

“It’s good to see you here Jin” Yamapi interjected then the doctor came in next with papers in his hands.

He greeted everyone and Kazuya. He smiled at everyone and gave an order which everyone followed. “I’m here to have a test with him. I hope you can all go outside for a while”

“What test?” Jin asked.

“To test what memories are needed to be erase”

Jin suddenly felt stunned, he didn’t know why but he carefully took a seat beside Ryo outside as they waited until it finished.

He never felt relaxed on his seat as he constantly looked at his watch and the door.

“Where have you been Jin? and what’s with the bruises?” Ryo started to interrogate.

“I just had to fix some things…”

“I heard that your mom’s in jail? Was it because of you?”

“Yeah. But she was discharged” he said bitterly and gave Ryo the newspaper where an article of  her mom being discharge because of a baseless ground filed against her and their family going to abroad after everything’s cleared.

“As long as she’s not here, he’ll be okay, so I hope it’s alright” Jin said clenching his fist. “They have money, surely they just made it sound baseless!”

“For sure…” Ryo added bitterly.

“Ryo… do you think what memories will be erased?” Jin asked cautiously.

“Uh… when he was kidnapped, of course. His parents being killed in the fire…” Ryo paused and looked at Jin “Why?”

“Nothing, just asking…” he said “probably there’s Akanishi Jin on the list” he added half heartedly.

“What?” Ryo forced to laugh then looked at Jin who just smiles.

“…just preparing myself, so the shock would be down to half” he said.

“Stupid” Ryo uttered

Then the door suddenly opened and the doctor led them to another room. The results were discussed and his memories regarding his family and some people will be erased from him.

“I-I told you… I’m right” Jin said weakly at Ryo. “I’ll be on the list” he smiled bitterly.

“D-doctor, maybe we can not include Jin there…” Ryo asked.

“But the therapy might not be successful, because he’s the one that Kazuya reacts the most. Must be a lot of pain.”

“It’s okay” Jin said and stood up. “Once this is done, he’ll be okay, right?” he assured and the doctor nodded.

“Yes but you cannot see him or you might trigger the memories to come back”

Jin smiled sadly “Then can I see him one last time?” he asked and once again the doctor just nod.

He opened the door and slowly walked in.

“K-Kame?” he said with his low voice and took a seat near him. He smiled but Kazuya just trembled and backed away.

“Don’t…” Jin pleaded “Just for this time, can you hold my hand?” Jin extended his hand but Kazuya just looked at it with fear and hesitation.

“K-Kazu…” he tried to call him then tears fell on his face and he buried his face on his ignored hand. “I’m sorry…”

“You probably experience the worst memories with me” he cried out. “I couldn’t do anything for you… when you’re the one who change me.”

He looked up to him and smile. “You should promise me to be happy after this, okay?”

“D-don’t cry…” Kazuya murmured and Jin wiped out his tears.

“I will not anymore…” he said smiling to Kazuya.

“Do you know, tomorrow will be our first anniversary?” he said and brought out something from his pocket.

“Actually I will give this to you…” he brought out a ring on his pocket and put it in front of Kazuya and showed the ring in his hand.

“It’s our ring. But you can throw it away later. Just let me see it in your hand for now”

He put it and smiled to Kazuya. “I should be kissing you right now…” he added.

He ruffled his hair and placed a small hesitant kiss on his lips.

“I love you”
