I totally see your point...I guess it's the same everywhere...and as much as of course, if you're a fan, you are trying not to like the girl the guy you fancy is with, you don't have to be judgmental and in the end admit that the thing that matters is that he's happy and a true fan will need to care about that first...

I am familiar with what happened in the Westlife fandom...I don't know how familiar you are with who is who there, but one of them kept his gf quiet for quite a few years as she was going to college and he wanted her to graduate in peace, without fans following her around...and it was horrible when he told the world about her and girls were extremely abusive...it got even worse when they got married and then they also had a baby...I believe it's better now but for a while it was really awful...people would come up with ideas how to kill her and such stuff...really...it was quite a luck for the other girls that the fans accepted them and even now with the one who's come out as gay, it seems most girls have accepted him and his bf...

I used to be a huge fan of one of them whose main fanbase were 14-year-olds who were convinced they were going to marry him...and the guy is 25 and in a very happy long-term relationship...but those girls still have this idea instead of just enjoying their teenage years and maybe look for a normal guy around...

So I yeah, I get your point...lol...I suppose the best is just try to ignore them and just enjoy the music of your favourite artist and just talk to those people who actually have something to say...I've found a group of WL fans more of my age I can talk to and I don't need to worry about such silly comments like you've mentioned...
