My computer is fixed! It did have a yucky virus on it but luckily we caught it before it spread too much.
Something has been bugging me lately in the internet fandom world. I see a lot of people complaining about the um...lack of maturity...in certain members at FF. I have to say that I'm seeing it all over any message board I visit, and the thing that is bugging me is just how rude and vicious (mainly) female fans can be. Members of my favorite bands are married; I've known this a long time and don't really care. (Why should I?) It seems like that once these posters find out their rockstar!crush is taken, they just flip out. They start talking about how "he could do a lot better than her!" or "she's not pretty at all! ugh!"
Excuse me? First of all, 30 year old men in a band are not going to start dating 14 year old teeny boppers. (At least I hope not!) Next, how can someone be so ruthless and judgemental as to decide that a woman isn't good-looking enough? I personally would rather know that people in my favorite bands are into settling down rather than sleeping with anything that moves aka groupies. I also kinda like when famous people marry "normal" folks. Maybe that's just me...
