When you're standing in front of a giant glass window, looking down at the world, in a Brioni suit, sometimes it can go to your head. If you let it. You can't let the physical things get to you. The office can burn down. The clothes are just a manifestation of money that can slip through your fingers. I'm a very successful man, but I don't lose perspective of what got me here.
I'm not the only person who has that kind of dilemma. Kevin had the same problem. In an attempt to keep it from going to his head, he ended up signing on to MI5. He spent a few years getting beaten up and tossed around trying to save his country. It was a noble idea, but he took it a little too far. He's not a hero and he's not a spy. But he needed to feel like he was doing something that mattered more, and I can't fault him for that.
That's why I do what I do. I have almost everything that I want (except the girl). Some people have compulsions to gamble, to drink, to flirt. Me and my friends seem to have a chronic compulsion to change the world.
