TV is 90s, but tehy do a great cover of Holly and The Italians' "tell that Girl to Shut Up." Much mailigned by teh UK music pres, but i liked 'em fine, even have the video colection. Elvis Costello wrote a perfectly good solo album for Wendy James after the band broke up ( ... )

Okay, I only have one 7", with an amusing sleave, but musically, Fuzzbox couldn't BE more horrible, could they?

Seriously, this is like the most terrible thing ever (and barely even campy enough to make up for it...)

As I recall, there was a track i enjoyed enugh to mixtape it @ the time from the LP. And then there was tehir cover of "Bohemian Rhapsody" ...

Interestingly, though, they were actually prevented from doing a full-on Thunderbirds style video by Gerry Anderson (cf. that sleeve) ...

Hmm. The 45 is my only experienc with them, but I do like "Bohemian Rhapsody" covers. Is it better or worse than The Braids' version from High School High?

PS. You're cultural knowledge is humbling...

If you call Fuzzbox "culture" ... well, of course, I do, in that full-on "cultural studies" sense, but ... but, nah, I'm guessing I just have maybe ten years or so on most of you, and my once useful memory has since been propped up to outright augmented by Google, so ...

But, damn, sorry, don't recall The Braids (not Braid, right?). And I saw HSH. Again, memory, getting old ...

Close Lobsters, Lush, Robyn Hitchcock, and, of course, the very wonderful Popguns, on the other hand, are quite good here (The Wedding Present, on the other other hand, have of course done far better covers) ...

I find it especially pleasing when played 45rpm, when it brings to mind mid-90s anthems like Moby's Feeling So Real.
