My update
Ok, this is my real update (I've also stuck a comment on mum's page). I am at present staying with Mark in Kenilworth, we decided I would come down on Sunday past instead of the pre-arranged Wednesday (today);
1. because Mark started his new job on Monday and I wanted to be there for him.
2. because it meant that Mark came to get me thus saving me a bob or two on a train ticket and also a very long journey on a train on my own.
3. because I was going anyway and I could.
4. as I was beginning to reach the end of my tether and 'Eleanor-in-cope-mode' was soon not going to be able to cope and I needed to get out of there.
This was all decided at about 5pm on Sunday night, The idea arose about 15 minutes early and was decided fairly quickly so Mark hopped into the car and came to collect me. Dad and I in the meantime made Haggis neaps n' tatties and I took the majority of the Christmas decorations down, started on my own, finished the baubles in tears (it really is a very depressing job on your own) so Dad helped me take the tinsel off and we started to eat just as Mark arrived. Fairly uneventful journey in torrential rain and here I am! I've done very little the last few days, a bit of reading (I've brought a nice pile of books with me, about a foot high actually, maybe a little bigger), and some playing of mindless games. Plenty of extra sleep and some fun in the evenings with the Kenilworth bunch; all very chilled and just what I need atm.
I've rung home a few times and things seem to be ok, I actually can't get hold of anyone atm, Mum and Dad's mobiles are both off and either no one's at home or Dad's asleep because it just carries on ringing, but I'm not altogether worried, Dad's been sober the last few days so he tells me and as dar as I know Mum's still in hospital (oh yes, she's seeing the shrink today, now I remember).
I will almost certainly be paying visits to people who live in Kenilworth once I work out how to walk to one of them and where the other house even is. I'm off shopping in Leamington tomorrow with Mister Timothy, have Mark's birthday present to get and a few other things and my lovely Christmas bonus came in yesterday so I should have some monies on top of those saved with which to spend on luxuries.
Will try to update more often, I now have time at least as my contract at Marks and Spencer's finished on Saturday so I'm free for a little. Have heard no more from Universities although being able to get on UCAS really would improve things.
