Oh My God how cool was London? Don't answer that, you shit, you didn't go!
There was new ouzo in the cupbaord. I tried lots of old and stupidly expensive guitars, went to Soho, came away with 3 new songs (one of which I haven't actually played yet cos it was for piano. Tis in my head), acted as tour guide in the Natural History museum for an hour, and picked up Meddle for 4 quid on the ORIGINAL print run (vinyl, naturally), and saw my favourite painting in the world, ever.
And saw DAVID FUCKING GILMOUR!
I think.
In St. James' park, twas supposed to be the hottest October 27th on record, and I walked past him pushing a pram. Very nearly had a coronary about 30 seconds later. Soho was glorious, first time out there, Denmark Street was cool as ever, though didn't buy anything for first time ever! New Brett Easton Ellis book is very good so far.
Final little rant, I had a totally nerdy moment (well more like 2 hours) in the Natural History Museum , long story short, I ended up taking a party of about a dozen people round the galleries, basically guiding em. I do love me palaeobiology. Geology ain't half bad neither.
What kind of music does a geologist like best?
Rock music! Arf arf arf.
I'm very sorry, shoot me.
BTW, new finished song is as yet untitled, working title Fireworks Over Vauxhall, the other two are piano songs, now words or vocals yet. Bye
