WELL!
Large update perhaps. I've just been to see Dean Friedman, aren't I a lucky sod? Well, that's debateable, hands up who knows who (or what) he is?
Ahem. He was a singer songwriter in the 70s, really cool dude, released albums, had a few hit singles, but ever sin ce then he's continued writing, recording, touring, entirely as a self-employed musician. And he's fucking funny too.

Highlights include: 'Death to the Neighbours'; 'I Miss Monica (Lewinsky'); 'S+M' and his lecture about marijuana. The tour's sponsor was a company that was giving away cannabis seeds after the performance. It was something else though, all my life, I've heard that voice come out of the speakers, jazzy and warm and acrobatic, and hear I was actually hearing it leap from his throat, feet away. Awesome, fucking awesome.

Needless to say, I bottled out slipping him the demo. Got the 12 inch record signed though...yessssss. I need to get my arse in gear with this demo. I am very very very poor atm, really have no money (well 6 quid), but we'll see what the birthday brings eh? AND me parents owe me. I want to make something happen before christmas.

I am also going to record something special between now and then, a one off, maybe something new, or an old work really richly produced, instrumental or synth driven perhaps. I'll say no more, and await surprises!

I'm off to London tomorrow. Yipee. Going to check out Denmark Street, and so on and so forth. Trip was delayed, but oh well. I also have a bottle of Jim Beam, a guitar, and reams and reams of paper going with me. Don't worry, there's ouzo there.

I really am not so hot at these long LJ entries, I'm going to have to start writing about me life and *gasp, shock horror* emotions. I'll have to dig them out, blow off the dust. I still remain true to my word that I've only written 1 love song, that I still play (out of 50, not bad). Why write about love, when theres dafter things to muse on? Chess, or drugs, for instance?

Toodles chaps, and don't forget to get your daily dose of things beginning with 'D'(Dylan, Dentures, Dave, Doilies, etc)
