Oops, missed one haha.
Yesterday I went to another palace and I liked it more. Still couldn't really go in the buildings, but 60% of the palace grounds was actually a forest with buildings called the secret garden. You can't go in the garden without being part of a tour, and when I got there the next English tour wasn't for an hour and a half.
...
So I asked, in korean, if I could go on the Korean tour that was leaving pretty much that exact mnute, and they said yes. My korean is no where near good enough to understand what she was saying, but there was English signage around talking about the buildings and it was a guided wlak in the woods so it was pretty nice.
There's another palace almost right next door, but the secret garden pamphlet listed tour times for the other palace and I had missed the English tours for that palace, and a palace I'd rather have an English tour than a garden. I wasn't sure if the palace you HAD to be part of a tour or not. I started to walk towards the palace to find out, but my feet were sore and there was a little park area so I sat and started to read. Umm... an hour and a half later I realized the palace was probably closed. So I went to Myeongdong, a tactical strike to buy a tshirt I'd seen two days before and had still been thinking about,t hen walked over to Namdaemun market to buy some glasses for Trista and to eat a whole bunch of street food before getting home.
Today I went to that palaces. I was pretty annoyed because the tour schedule was not at all like what the pamphlet said it was. ON the plus side, you COULD just walk around on your own so I did. ANd I think it was my favourite of the palaces I've been to so far (with just one more to go). Also, near a pond in the back area I sat down and read for. ionno, a 150 pages or so, finishing off my book :3
I then wondered around but found everything meh. I got on the subway and apparently I was doing such a bad job of hiding how hurt my feet were that a middle aged man gave me his seat, which was kind of embarrasing.
Also, a random lady who barely spoke English stopped me to ask where I got my purse. Felt bad having to tell her it was from Istanbul.
Tomorrow~~ is the nemesis concert. I'm seriously considering doing basically nothing during the day before hand to make sure my feet and legs are fresh for the concert.
