"it's one thing to make the...same mistake twice"
lol k, that subject line was basically the story of yesterday in philly...
went to lauren's to get changed n whatnot to get ready for my mom's surprise 30th anniversary in philly that my dad had all planned out. we left around 12. yea...it shouldn't take almost 2 1/2 hours to get to philly...but we took the scenic route lol see..what had happened was i used mapquest...we got all lost cuz the directions were kind of misleading, so we found ourselves on the Penn Extension heading towards harrisburg. so we stopped at a service area and went to the travel guy n i asked him where we should go, n i casually mentioned the fact that we needed to find the betsy ross bridge cuz it was in the directions, and his response was "why are you planning on jumping from it?" WHAT?!?! that fat fuck, didn't help us, got us more lost, and i think it was cuz of the fact he was a fat, middle aged, lonely dickhead stuck in a really shitty job as a guide in PA in a rundown service station. anyway, we found our way and had lunch and conversed with all my parent's friends. it was interesting, and embarassing at times, which is why i was glad lauren came with me, cuz then i had someone to relate to. they were making all these sexual inuendos and just bein really weird but that's old people for ya i guess, thought they passed that phase. after that we headed toward the hotel...got a lil lost again finding that hotel. but we found it..eventually. lemme tell ya, it was a nice fucking hotel. really ritsy. i felt like a pimp all dressed up, more respected. lol but i wouldn't dress like that everyday. chilled there for a while, then went out to the concert, all the older people took a limo...n me n lauren decided to just walk to the concert cuz it was only like 10 blocks away..not a good idea. lol this is where we got pretty lost. the guy behind the desk pointed us in the wrong direction...so we must've walked like 20 blocks in the wrong direction...we were really late to the concert so we got a cab and he got us there in no time. already 3 times we got lost. lol it was such an adventure. k, after the concert the limo came around for us again after dropping them off. it was fun, never been in a limo before lol. we got back to the hotel and stayed for a while, they opened presents n we said our goodbyes. so after that me n lauren decided to stay in philly for a lil while longer. parked over on south broad street and walked around lookin for a bar to chill at. yea...there weren't any in the general vicinity so we kept walkin, and walkin...and walkin. and we got ourselves lost...again. this time it was bad cuz we had no idea where our car was lol. so i called up george and he helped us get back to south broad and gave us directions to I-95. some could have taken all this getting lost as bad..but to us it was fun and an adventure lol. now we know philly more then we could have had we not gotten lost. the one continual thing my parent's friends kept pushing was that lauren and i looked like a cute couple. even AFTER we kept telling them we were friends and she was like my little sister. we never gave them that impression but ya know old people, once they got somethin stuck in their head...no changin them. so my mom's best friend was like "sure i've heard that one before" fuck them all!!! not really, it just got annoying after a while. after a while we just ignored what they were saying, wasn't worth it. finally dropped her off at like 2:30 and i was so tired i went straight home, n assed out. so here i am..the next day, gettin ready for work and updating. yesterday flew by so fast cuz i actually did have fun. long day tho, so i'm still tired lol. k, i'm off to work. there was plenty of filler stuff during the day, but that was the gist, "it's one thing to make the same mistake twice" lol how bout 4 times over in one night? fun fun. peace
