My Christmas Eve
So I'm down on the border of Kentucky and Tennessee celebrating Christmas with my family for the first time EVER not at my parent's house at some point during the day. We're all shacked up at my older sister Shannon's and for the most part it's been pretty fun. I got all of my Christmas shopping done before Christmas Eve (also a first minus a few other sporadic years). I've also been spending a lot of time watching movies with the family and hanging out with my little sister who I LOVE!! In fact it's so bright outside that we even went sunglass shopping today and I helped her pick out some S.S. (STUNNA' SHADES!) They're hot...I'm not gonna lie :)
I just really hate that I'm not going to be able to see Cameron at all tomorrow for Christmas. The past few years I've celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas with his family and consider them my 2nd family. All the games, fun, and of course good food have been something I've gotten so used to, it's really sad that I'm missing out on all of that this year.
But I've got to keep my spirits up and just have fun with my own. Shannon is cooking soul food for Christmas this year. I've never had it before so I'll definitely keep everyone posted as to how it tastes. ha ha Well, time to wrap some presents and then watch "Elf"...sadly I've never seen that before either. Damn, there are a lot of first time things happening this year...crazy
