Ok, no fair! The scale's against me! :-(

Please bear with me for a minute while I whine and have a small rant...

So, I'm finally restarting my diet - being the New Year and all (and less than 3 months until the Vancouver convention!).  Therefore, this morning I decided to weigh myself to see just where I was at.  I knew I'd probably gained back a few of the pounds I lost last Spring, and my old scale confirmed this.  Just to double-check, I stepped off the scale and then back on again.  Suddenly, my weight had dropped by about 40 pounds!!!   I checked again and the number had dropped again.  (I wish it was that easy!)

I then remembered that Hubby had told me a while back that the scale was being a bit wacky. He was going out to run some errands this afternoon, so I asked him to pick up a new scale to replace the old one.  I actually knew this was a bit of a risky move because different scales seem to weigh at different rates (you know, like how your home scale rarely matches your doctor's scale), but decided we needed something that would work more reliably.

Yep, you guessed it - the new scale weighs heavier than the old one. **Pout**  Ok, here comes the rant - you were warned!

It's soooo not fair!! :-(  Now I don't know where I'm at with my weight. :-(  According to this new scale, I'm nearly half-way back to where I started a year ago! :-(  Grrrr!  I knew I'd probably gained some, but how do I adjust to that?  I guess I'm forced to start over in a sense, based on what this new scale reads? :-(

**Heavy, heavy, utterly discouraged sigh.**  (and end of rant)  ...and maybe just one more sigh.  **Sigh**

Ok, I guess that's all.  I suppose it just means I now have to work even harder to make progress according to this new scale.  It's just rather disheartening to have moved backwards farther than I'd anticipated.  But enough whining now.  Here we go in the forward direction again.

**Deep breath** Ok, here I go!  Thanks for listening.

Hugs,
Jennie :-)
