It's our bill paying time, so I spent the morning opening the bills and getting things organized. With the first part of the inheritance we paid off all the credit cards and stopped using all but one of the cards. We still get monthly statements, which I look at to make sure all is well. Well, my fingers are still attached and healing nicely. Although the middle finger (where the stitches are) is INCREDIBLY tender and any sort of touch is really painful. With the purchase of the new HiDef TV and Satellite I've become addicted to this wonderful morning show on one of the HiDef channels. The show is Sunrise Earth and it is 50 minutes of commercial free and dialog free footage of the sun rising. Each episode features a new location, such as the cliffs of Ireland, the Great Barrier Reef and so on. ( Read more... )

We went to Portland yesterday for my appointment at the Pain Management Clinic. Very positive trip. I was evaluated by one doctor who agreed with my Fibromyalgia diagnoses -- He was the fourth doctor to concur on the FMS diagnosis so far. Felt horrible all weekend -- weak, sleepy, fatigue, migraines. Woke up at 4am this morning feeling GREAT! Read till 6:30am. Went into the kitchen and made a whole lot of French Toast. Halfway through cooking Reed got up and it started to snow! We ate breakfast while watching some pretty good snowfall. A lovely morning.

While Reed worked hard tearing apart his office last night, I stayed out of the way. Mostly by watching TV in our bedroom while laying on the bed. I was watching Sci-Fi channel's Ghost Hunters, all the while making my "amusing" little comments about the "investigation" -- I do this a lot, and enjoy it greatly ( Read more... )

Still sick and been running a 100-101 degree fever since last night. I was having HORRIBLE headaches -- mostly from swollen sinuses and since everyone in Oregon is being treated like a criminal there was no Sudafed to be had [it's illegal without a prescription -- I'm trying not to go off on a rant here ;) ]. Yep, Reed's given me his "Dread Disease". No fever for me, but I seem to have basically lost my voice -- when I CAN talk I sound horrible. Mostly just typical nasty flu stuff: VERY sore throat, coughing, congestion and VERY weak & tired. This had better clear up by Thursday! Sorry if my posts this week have been a bit "snippy". I'm on a VERY high does of an antibiotic combo drug that has all sorts of awful side effects. First on the list is moodiness -- EVERTHING is starting to bug me. Other fun side effects: Muscle weakness/pain, bleeding, headache and more!
