We can rebuild him, we have the technology
Dad had a knee replacement yesterday. So far that makes 2 knee replacements and 2 ankle replacements! All went well with the surgery and he's expect to be in the hospital until later this week.
After he got to his room and settled in (around 6pm) he got sick all over the bed. The nurses had to change EVERYTHING. He was in some serious pain about this time and since my stepmom was out of the room finding dinner he called me. He was really upset, but very quickly felt better after I answered the phone. I'd like to think that had to do with me, but I think most of it was the heavy duty pain shot they gave him while he was trying to talk to me. He started to fade out after couple minutes so he hung up.
About an hour later he called me again -- he'd forgot he called earlier. We had several 2-3 minute chats during the day. I expect he'll be more mentally awake today. Poor thing.
