Someday soon, when I am done with the endless stack of dishes in my kitchen (I haven't cooked for days, WHERE are these things coming from????), I am going to make some of the yummy things I found in The New American Steakhouse Cookbook. I picked it up at Ross for five bucks and am eager to get cooking. Perhaps tomorrow would be a good night to start. I'm darned tired of fast food.
Our power was out for eight hours yesterday due to a substation mishap (I'd recommend that you ask the bird who was responsible, but he's well... let's just say that 'It's probably pining for the fjords..') Anyway, it set me back quite a bit on my housecleaning. It's amazing how much you can rely on electricity-- vacuuming, dishwasher, hot water for mopping, drying laundry... The only things I got done were outside things. I'm paying for that now.
It was hard to go to work today, but the day went swiftly. I hope the remaining eight of them do the same. Then, I'm on vacation. How sweet it is.
