School Daze Again ...

I enrolled in school to complete my bachelor’s degree. I have been contemplating it for years but finally decided to take the plunge. It was a little easier to make the decision being that RTX is paying the bill! I’m finally going to do some programing. I honestly wish I would have started it years ago, but I’m not sure that I would have succeeded when I was a CSR.

In November 2021 I was officially moved from the CSR position to an SAP Analyst for the Monroe site. I worked both jobs for over a year but finally gave my shop to another CSR and was removed from the day-to-day customer service duties. I’ve been working with Carma Hart. She is a tremendous help and such a sweet woman! I adore her and am thankful for her daily!

In the new role I have a lot more time, or at least I feel like I do, so I think I can pull this off. Colorado Technical University is where I’m getting my degree, but I’m worried about the schedule of classes. The classes are only 5 weeks long. That is extremely quick! Then only one week off and another 5-week class starts! I’m not sure how well that will go. I can see me being burned out quickly.

However, the timeframe for my degree is accelerated about a year due to 10 transfer credits and “Fast Track” (testing out of) another class for web design! 49 credit hours, 25% of my degree, already completed before classes even start. I’m very excited about that.

The Fast Track of the web design class went very well. I was nervous but I read up on several things and was able to stumble through with an 86% (70% or higher is passing). Then I got to looking in the virtual classroom and determined I could increase my score. I have about 2.5 hours remaining of “test time” to revise my testing score. I’m up to 91% now. I have until Monday to get up to 100%.

Hoping to be able to maintain journaling during this time. Journaling always helped my stress levels in the past, so I am going to try it again. I’ll try anything to keep my sanity between work, home, and school!
