Frivolity

Sooooooooo...thanks to Gen's suggestion I've been reading the Sookie Stackhouse books...and am now on the fourth one. Or fifth. I don't remember. Point is, they're hella entertaining. I still like the television series better, though. The characters are, well, characters in the show. Jason's practically non-existent in the books, while Tara really is non-existent (there is a Tara, but not the one in the show). Bill's incredibly likeable/charming in the show. In the books he's kind of...there. Though I enjoy Book!Eric a lot. He's hilarious. Can't wait to see what the show does with him.

I hope they keep all the running gags from the books in the show: Bill not liking the Bellefleurs, Eric constantly trying to get into Sookie's pants, Sookie's clothes getting ripped all the time, the hair-braiding, Bill always growling "You smell like (cute male's name here)" and Sookie's reaction, etc. I like running gags. They're a marker of a fun series.

New Heroes on tonight! Yaaaay!

Saw Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist last night. It was funny, but then it made me feel old. I kept thinking about all the gas they were wasting, and how their parents might react to them being out all hours of the night. "They didn't card the kids at the club? Who gave them alcohol!?" That last one is more from the part of me that doesn't want drunk teenagers ruining my entertainment for the night while I'm trying to take in a concert. Or something. Still, it made me sad that I actually thought those things while watching the movie.
