I just finished an 8 page Environmental History paper that I, erm... started tonight, and I feel oddly exhilarated at this fine hour of the morning (at which I should NOT be awake), so I felt this would be as good a time as any to update.
Went home for Fort Ligonier Days this past weekend, which was fantastic as usual. On Saturday Christina, Valerie and Robin came up for the day and we had a wonderful time. We watched the parade (big!horses, little!ponies, Mr. McFeely, and tons of Shriners in little cars), ate amazing food (omg baked potatoes and berry cobbler) and looked at jewelry and other crafts. We were also lucky enough to walk into the theater at the exact moment Eric was up on stage singing a few Johnny Cash songs, so we bought drinks and went in to listen.
Today I skipped Russian for the first time this semester, which made me incredibly nervous, but I felt awful last night. Thought it would be best to sleep in, and it really helped.
And today, for whatever reason, I've felt really happy. I hope it lasts long enough so that I can enjoy it when I actually have time to. Tomorrow I'll probably be a zombie until I get a nap in, but I'm planning on going hiking on Friday, so let's just hold onto the happy until then, yes?
Hi Bob Dylan, you're just marvelous and I don't pay you enough attention. Apologies.
Oh! I mustn't forget, I got my ears pierced for the first time freaking ever. Yes, I'm 20 years old (almost 21 holycrap). Yes, I've never had my ears pierced. Yes, I was afraid to do it even though I have two tattoos. And yes, now that they're pierced I have a definite earring addiction and need to be stopped. Seriously, someone needs to take away my money so I stop buying earrings. At least everyone knows what to get me for Christmas and my BIRTHDAY, which btw is coming up, and it's about freaking time because I seriously need to get wasted beyond comprehension.
I think when I return from my hiking adventure on Friday I'll bake some pumpkin bread. Yes. It's a plan. Hurrah!
