Ben and the Story of Cheese

Growing up as a kid in the 80's, of course I ate tons and tons of the kraft orange american cheese slices. That was most of my cheese experience from my early childhood years till the age of 9.

It was the age of 9 that I first learned to like pizza. It was only white pizza at first, I hated the sauce. Finally by the age of 11 I learned to appreciate the sauce. It was at this point that I learned to appreciate good Cracker barrel cheddar cheese.

To be terribly honest cheese never played a huge role in my life. I tried many other kinds Montery Jack, Swiss, Munster, Provolone and others and with the exception of swiss, I went through times where I loved each kind and times when I hated each kind. (Swiss cheese just sucks all together) I rarely ate cheese straight up. The only time I ever ate cheese was if it came with food in a restaurant, in a sandwich, cheese and crackers at a party etc. I never really went out of my way to include cheese in anything.

And now that back to about 95% vegan, I don't do cheese at all.

And to be honest...I don't really miss it
