yeehaw!
hey y'all, i'm in san diego right now, and we won all three games today! our first game we won 4-2, then our second we won 2-1 (one of my players scored an own goal, which was hilarious b/c she's our top scorer... and we were like "hey diane, quit scoring goals! especially on us!") funny stuff. but yeah. then our 3rd game we won 2-0. yeehaw! and in the third game, the ref was a real nazi cuz he kept callings fouls on us when the girls on the other team would be doing the same fouls not a second earlier than us. ugh! so we were all fed up, but eh. we won! so it doesn't matter. so the first game, i played on the field as stopper. if any of you know my soccer life, i NEVER play on the field. and ya know what? it was FUN! i loved it! i wish i was more in shape so i could endure longer (25 mins halves... guys, i'm sad) but anyway. i'm thinkin about joining this team cuz the girls are way fun, and i can't give up soccer just like that, ya know?
so the 1st game, i played stopper most of the game.2nd game i played keeper, and i think i had the game of my life! i made this one save, which was more of a reflex, and it should have been a goal, it was going over my head, and i had to twist around 90 degrees to my right, then jump up and punch the ball out, and i was amazed it even happened!! i asked my defenders "dood, what just happened?" and they were like "DOOD! YOU SAVED IT, THAT'S WHAT!!!" aahahah, funny stuff man. but i had way lots fun. but also, i pulled my groin, so. that's not fun. i could hardly punt the ball during the 3rd game, so i only played keeper for half the game, then i played stopper again in the next, but only for about 15-20 mins. but i still had fun! i did a header! and my head hurt for about 2 mins, and my eyes were all watery i was like to the girl next to me "i never do headers" she laughed at me. good stuff. but yah.
so hopefully the really hot bubble bath i took today and the constant massaging helped my groin a bit. eeks. its not the funnest injury. and my thighs keep cramping up. my body's telling me "i'm not used to doing so much running during a game! whats happening???" lol. my body is confuzzled.
and if we win our 8am game tomorrow (which i really hope!) we'll play again at 10am, then if we win that game, we'll go on to the finals at 12pm , i think. so i really hope we can win this whole thing. my family drove 3.5 hours to come see me play, and i dont want their time to be a waste, ya know? nor mine. even though i had lots of fun, its also nice to win. can't argue with that.
so i've had fun while i been here. i realize this is a long enough entry, so i'm gonna finish soon. i just gotta say that i had fun staying with my Tia Mary and Tio Chris, and it was great seeing my Tio Miguel and my Tia Reina, i wish i could've seen my lil cousins Guidiani, Sarita, and Isaac (all three are Tio Miguel's kids) . but i saw Aileen (the youngest of my Tio Miguel's), that girl tis a cutie! and she knows lots of cute lil jokes! so does Greg, one of my Tia Mary's sons. theres also Thomas and Richie. all cute bois! makes me wanna have my own kids now. grr.
YEH-YAH! so i wanted to start my human dev paper tonite, but uhh. its late and i need to wake up like around 6:30am. grrr. i dont wanna wake up early. so if i go to bed now, i can get... 7.5 hours of sleep. lets hope all the kids are out of the room i'm sleeping in tonite with my sis (which also happens to be the play room. yes i know, very convenient) so yeah. i dont think i have much else to say. can't wait til x-mas break to go to utah and see the rest of my family (again. woohoo) so yeah. night y'all.
