ORLY?!
I got a text from one of my new coworkers yesterday. I was given ONE SHIFT on the schedule for the upcoming week. Not even a dinner shift, a LUNCH shift. I am back in panic mode. It's my mom's birthday this weekend, and I can't afford a gift. I owe Lee $55 for my last bill that I couldn't cover, and I have 2 more that need to be paid by the 14th for $500. Yeah, one lunch shift should cover that. HOLY SHIT. Lee worked super over time last night and ended up surprising me and picking up a "love boat" of sushi for us to share at my house. It was really sweet and I was excited to have sushi for the first time in a long time. Did I already say he's the best?
Moving forward, I finished my essays for the teaching fellowship application, and now I'm working on my resume now. I'm really hoping things in my life take a turn for the better. Sheesh!
