If I say anything it'll come out wrong, and I'll be trying to explain this all day*, so instead without any ado whatsoever:

Funny, I feel exactly the same. But I'll try anyhow. This has all the things that I always love about your writing, but oh god Remus. This was so clearly written by someone who both loves and understands him. You made me cry, all happy and sad at the same time.

And Remus brings all the hugs to the yard. Sweaters, I mean please. I can't bear it.

She laughs and laughs, and doesn't stop. Remus is reminded why he loves her. Quietly, in the way that one loves flowers and good china; and other beautiful things.
This story is very good, shades of HBP, The Prank, the vestiages of canon that we know, but spliced with a bit of what could have been, would have been. Alot of ifs, and you make them work beautifully.
I can see why you couldn't explain it though - Remus and Sirius and Regulus and the chances and choices and alternate universes.
Nice one.

Anyway, I really appreciate what you've said. I love that line about Lily, too, she's harder to pin down as a character than I thought (often she's written super-tough, or super-sweet, and so many characters adore her that you really have to start thinking- why exactly ?)
So. Thank you very much.
And dude, I am a lame-o ! I've read your Changeling story like four times and haven't formed a coherant review yet ! I swear to you that it is coming. I really enjoyed it.

About Lily, yeah, it's hard to make her interesting or likable, but your Lily was awesome, but still sort of a cipher, which was cool. I feel really lame trying to tell you how really great this story is, but the one thing that I can identify is how you can make something bittersweet, realistic (you know what I mean by realistic!), yet still hopeful. Anyway, that was awesome, and I'd love to read more, either a continuation, or fill in the cracks story.

Thank you very much for the niceness. And there's definitely going to be more from this little universe. I want to talk about Snape, and how Sirius went with his brother, and.... yeah. Hmm. So, we'll see what happens.

That's incredibly nice of you. I think I always imagine AU fic as something where they're in a human high school, or somebody's a Veela, or they have to go up a magic mountain to save Dumbledore, who is secretly Ron. So it's kind of a pleasant surprise to find that I have actually written an AU. ;)
So, long story short: whee. Yay ! I'm happy to be friended, and would you mind if I returned the favor ?

Lol I suppose an AU is just ... alternative canon. Anything that happens outside of the normal universe? Lol it does have that crapfest sort of reputation, doesn't it?

As far as AU, like, not even crapfest as much as totally different. I always associated AU with a radical change from canon, and even sometimes with a radical change from fanon interpretations; but the truth of it is, you're right. It's just an alternative. No matter how small the change, it does become AU.
Man, though, in the back of my brain I'm always waiting for the other Lucius Malfoy time-travel shoe to drop. Maybe it's just me.

This is an amazing story - although it's AU, it somehow feels like canon, the characters are so real...
So, this is the umpteenth fic of yours I not only enjoyed to read, but which leaves me totally incoherent...
