Straight up, I didn't get the acting job.
Bummer, man.
The audition went really well, I thought. Not a personal best, but their reactions seemed very positive. The director got up after the call back, came around, shook my hand, started asking me all these questions about where I grew up and if I knew the theatre and how great it was to go back upstate and to have so much be expected of you, blah blah blah. They were all very nice there. And my audition wasn't that bad. And usually not that bad to me is pretty frikkin' good to other people.
But that was a couple days ago, and I still haven't heard anything. Furthermore, I think Becky heard something already. So they've already called people. That's one big thing I hate about this process. If you don't get a part, you aren't called or notified in any way. You just have to slowly figure it out after a while.
Still, I think they genuinely did like my audition. Perhaps I'll write a little thank you letter asking them to "keep me in mind for future projects" or whatever professional people say.
