The Joker had never stayed free for this long before. He’d always been caught. She needed him to be caught. He had never been able to hide from her for this long. It was impossible that he hadn’t been caught yet. The Gotham Police Department should have been able to find him. Batman should have been able to find him.

It was time for her to do something about it herself.

Barbara went over to her computers and began to scan all of the places that she thought the Joker could be hiding. She had video all over Gotham - that much hadn’t changed just because she had left. She would simply have to find the Joker herself. And she knew he had to be in Gotham somewhere, he never strayed far and there was that Sally girl the Joker was stalking. Barbara would do whatever she had to in order to protect this girl. She would never allow the Joker to hurt someone again like he had hurt her.

She must have been sitting there for hours before she finally got a hit. That was definitely one of the Joker’s hideouts. It figured, that he would be staying in an old burnt out comedy club. There was something about his sense of the ironic that demanded it.

He wasn’t there at the moment, but she was convinced that the Joker had been staying there. The lair, or whatever you could call it, had all of the signs of the Joker.

She recognized some of the henchman lounging around, she recognized things that had been stole in recent heists, and evidence of the Joker and Harley’s… interaction.

Barbara smirked and picked up the phone. Sometimes having her father know her identity was a godsend.

“Hey, Dad?” she said once he picked up. “You should check for the Joker at the Laughing Mask Comedy Club.” She spoke to him for a little while and then hung up the phone.

She smiled. Oracle was back on top.
