Continuing to heal
Things continue to improve since the operation. My left side seems to be healing better than the right, due to an incision made at a necessarily bendy spot. I'm in less pain, but still taking meds for what pain there is, and to reduce swelling and inflammation. I'm moving around the apartment pretty well now, and the appetite is back (not necessarily a good thing, lol).
I've had a lot of calls from friends. Jamie came by to visit on Wednesday, but I must have been taking a nap, because I didn't hear him. I talk to Samantha daily, which does so much to lift my spirits. Makes me want to get better just so I can travel to see her. What an incentive to heal! :)
I've finished Star Wars Eps. I-III over the past two days. I may do the others over the weekend or watch something different. I feel a creative burst about to hit, so I may do more writing than anything else in a day or so.
For those of you who are fellow music fans, especially Brian Wilson/Beach Boys fans, I've discovered a podcast site. Half of the site is devoted to looking at the classic Pet Sounds album, track by track, 40 years down the road. The other is only five weeks into an eleven week run looking at their new compilation CD, The Warmth of the Sun, in a similar manner. There are interview moments with Brian, Mike, Al, and Bruce. Fantastic stuff, and not to be missed if you are a fan.
