there and back again
a short hike after eccology class(the whole class went) turned into a 20 min slog through the mud,muck with my backpack:P we went out the an old marble quarry behind campus.Very intresting but I was gasping like a landed fish! And walking back was all uphill in the mud,not that I mind the mud.I dont like my asthma flaring up like that,it slows me down greatly.
I forget that being up here still takes getting use to even after 7 months,going even higher.Well that would leave me really short of breath unless I had extra time to adjust. It boils down to my body not being use to being this active in a long long time:P
So I gasped,huffed and puffed back up the trail,paying no attention to the beautifull sceneary around me.Just paying attention to where I put my feet,being winded makes me light headed.Which makes me careless which could have lead to a twisted ankle or worse.
I called my parents afterwards to say hi,they where intrested in the info I got from Fairbanks and said I should try to get in! *gasp* that coming from them:p really I dont think I could see myself or Becky up there but who knows. Life has ways of getting you to where your supposed to go,just not in the order you had pictured in your head.
Off to relax than it's off to have dinner and maybe a short nap before homework.
