Oh, I forgot to mention my good news.
I'm getting a new MacBook Pro for work (which basically means I'm getting a new computer for home, too, since I carry this thing back and forth with me every day). My trusty PowerBook G4 is having some kind of recurring problem where it doesn't see all of its memory, so I routinely am running on 225k of memory, which results in a lot of spinning colorwheel action. The quote to fix it was enough for me to convince the Powers That Be that I need a replacement. Yeah!
Not a second too soon, because this weekend, my power cord seems to have permanently stuck itself to my computer. It is the weirdest thing. Chris thinks maybe it shorted out and spot welded itself to the computer. Still powers the thing, so I guess it's no big deal, but it's sure weird.
