In other faintly related news, I heart that FFXIII will be out on other platforms than the Playstation. On the other hand the other platform in question is the XBox 360 and I'm just for some reason really not even slightly interested. If they were cross-pollinating to the Wii, then you'd be talking.
And in more tangentially related news, I have managed to buy a phone, and only felt slightly ripped off, which I think must mean I did OK. It makes phone calls, has a camera, and is not easy to call people by accident from, which are my only requirements. Although my Dad bought an iPhone because he is very like me only with a lot more money, and humuna it's very pretty indeed.
They had a couple of laptops hanging around the shop, being 'free when you sell your soul to 02' props, and I played a little. Mostly I concluded that I couldn't really tell them apart apart from the Eee PC which was a 701 and therefore too dinky to actually use but potentially worth looking at the bigger one. On the other hand I still want a tablet pc because I am a dork with pretensions of how cool it would be to be able to draw doodle elaborately on the computer with my actual writing hand.
