Some things about stuff
Stuff in the sense of material possessions. Because I have been ill, in fact am still coughing pathetically, and thus haven't done much in the way of leaving the house.
I am completely addicted to I'd Do Anything. I'm now caught up, courtesy of the interwebs, and in my weakened state I've even dreamed about it. I have favourites and everything. (Jessie, of course, because she is a rock star, Jody because she is large and gorgeous and made of win, Niamh because she's tiny and clearly a goth underneath, and Sarah because actually she has a voice of utter joy. Also, Gwion and his tiny adorable Welshness. Ashley's a bit rubbish and Samantha and Rachel are just not interesting.) I realise how incredibly lame this makes me, and that it's basically an extended advert for the show, and that Andrew Lloyd Weber is probably really a bastard and Graham Norton is a tit. And yet.
Also, on the profile things, several of the Olivers (aged 10-13) claim to watch Torchwood. Um... do their parents know this?
And I kinda want to dig into the interwebs' archives and see if they've got the Maria and Joseph ones.
Meanwhile, I have managed to finish Final Fantasy 12, which as always was a bit of a surprise in the end. These things always do seem to end a bit abruptly. Still, awesome. And there's some wonderful fic out there. The one with Basch running naked through the streets of Rabanastre is probably my favourite. There was a whole wet!naked!Basch prompt contest, and it was good...
Unfortunatley, mostly I'm now craving 13. And there are several very good reasons I can't have it, chief among them the fact that even when it comes out, which won't be a while, it's only going to be on the PS3 and I haven't got one. Damn you Sony. It's completely mad, it is a mad mad thing to be thinking, but I probably will eventually buy one, and my primary reason will be this one game. I quite resent that any part of me thinks this is a reasonable thing to do.
Oh, also? Deadwood. Is great. And terrifying. And I am coming very late to this party, I know, but I'm getting it through the renty people and it's awesome. It leaves you feeling like you need a shower, but it's quite brilliant.
... no, I really do have nothing of more consequence than that to say. So here, have Backstroke of the West - which is Revenge of the Sith with English-via-Chinese subtitles. This is genius. Especially the last two.
