Really random linkage of the day: a bit more than halfway down this page there is a really adorable picture of Bruckner being greeted in heaven by all the famous composers. It's just so sweet.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anton_Bruckner What happened to the weather? It was bright sunshine most of yesterday. I woke up this morning to a deep fog outside my window and assumed for a few seconds that it must be September. Who stole August? And why do I have the almost irrisistable urge to buy a new pencil case and start keeping an eye out for appropriate Christmas presents?
Poor, poor wet maelstrommers...
Weightwatching's still going all right. Very nearly finished Cetaganda which is a good thing because OMGHALLOWS. (It's not gripping me quite the way Warrior's Apprentice and Vor Game did, although it's always nice to watch Miles charge about cackling insanely to himself whatever he's doing, and oh IVAN. 'The Barrayaran Art of Love'! Hahahahahaha.)
Still trying to write programme notes. Verdi and Bruckner songs not so bad, they are done providing I haven't done them utterly and completely wrong. Mozart Mass in C Minor downright intimidating though. Getting plagiarisier every moment. And that's the piece I've actually sung. And even quite liked though there was only that one movement that I thought was particularly interesting and I don't now remember which one it was, though I'm sure Wikipedia will tell me...
