Empire's Incredibly Hard Ultimate Star Wars Challenge Final: both competitors were female.... this is interesting me. Considering that I've always thought that Star Wars was one of the more male-dominated fandoms. Could I possibly just be buying into the non-fandom view, because I can't be bothered to think about it due to it not being one of my very favourite things? The canon's got its problems - it's not overabundant with interesting female characters, and the ones there are tend to be swept under the carpet just a little bit, and note that the highlights of the convention include a really pretty girl in a slave-Leia costume. But the same's true for most things, I guess. Either way, fangirls are teh win, this is very cool is what I'm basically saying.
