EDIT: Thank you
gorillagirl77 for the heads-up that the links weren't working; this has been fixed :P
Cold Comfort Farm I'm recording it from one of the cable channels to watch when Chad isn't paying attention (hee!). I just loved the book and movie. Fun tie-in:
this song, which I also adore. Wish I knew what happened to my copy of the CD. Oh well. "There's something in the woodshed." Tee hee.
Wizard World Con Chad and Ryan are headed to Chicago this weekend for the Con. Chad has jokingly threatened to, err,
urinate on
warren_ellis and received a retort from the man himself. I thought about heading down with them, but it'd mostly be to stalk Ellis so I figured it'd be best for everyone involved if I stayed home. ^^; I have no doubt that they'll have a blast, and I hope that Chad comes home with awesome stuff to read.
WANTED While the man is outta town, I'm planning on seeing this movie in
the theater Saturday, early afternoon matinee (I'm thinking 1 or 2-ish, but they haven't posted show-times yet). If you're interested in going with me to Block E, lemme know. Might do lunch uptown or downtown beforehand too. (I still haven't read it--am tempted to before I see it, but have heard that the two aren't comparable, so.. will I be disappointed?) Regardless... yay James McAvoy!
Twitter meet-up tomorrow at
The Independent, 5PM to 8PM. Be there or... don't. But, it'd be neat if you came! (It's not actually 100% that I'll be going, but I'm going to try.) Here are event links for
Facebook and
Upcoming.
Fitness info
kinda sucks, actually. Between not cooking at home much and therefore eating out/ordering in a lot more (argh so much salt n' crap -- I need to go grocery shopping badly) and a weekend mostly without Wii, my body weight hasn't changed jack in the little over two weeks I've been active. I will say, however, some muscles are definitely more toned, so I know some of that weight is being swapped out from fat to muscle, but I fully intend to focus on getting cardio in more than strength (I know they're both important, very much so--I'm not dropping the strength exercises at all, just more calorie-burning action). After all, I want to be stronger for sure, but I really want slim down. I'm not discouraged, just more determined. (Okay, a little discouraged, but I understand why, so it's acceptable.) I have been drinking a lot more water, and I think that's helping quite a bit.
And now, to make sure my timesheets are actually done. Because I totally forgot to turn them in earlier today (frack, just
one more time).
