But first - woke up to dreams of me freaking out because I left my bag on a train. Not a particularly good dream to have. Makes one kind of stressed out.
Back to the fun stuff - I went to Renaissance Faire with Lex and co. as part of her unofficial 'I'm moving to Philly soonish' celebrations and had a really lovely time and made some new friends. My back still hurts from being laced up in a corset all day but the bee stings (mead/cider) were tasty and the company was great.
Afterwards we all met up at Spellbound and danced a bit and drank a bit and chatted outside. Because there were so many of us that made a concerted effort to go to Spellbound it was actually pretty epic. I usually never go to Spellbound for various reasons but I had a really good time last night.
And there were crepes. At 3am. Tasty, tasty crepes.
The only issue I had with the whole day was the D.C. metro system. Big shock, right? To get from the end of one stop in the other direction of me to home because of track work and construction took almost 2 hours. Then I get home, rush to get changed, and head off to Spellbound to then get stuck on lines with other construction and from my house to the club took me another hour when it should have been maybe 30 mins. tops. Ugh. I am so done with weekend work on the metro. It really reminded me of how frustrating it was not having a car here.
But metro issues aside yesterday was really fun! Now I need to try and wake up (even though it's noon, haha!) and head out to meet a friend for a cuppa coffee. *yawn* I think I need it.
