My brain is running on overdrive.

I just spent over THREE HOURS looking at the Amanda Palmer Kickstarter artbook that arrived at some point in time yesterday when I was at her show. Good timing, I'd say. So much of the art is just amazing and breathtaking and thought-provoking and I really devoured it.
And I loved being about to see the lyrics of Theatre Is Evil on simple white pages with gray script rather than the ridiculously bright art-filled CD booklet.
And so before a lot of this fades away I want to remind myself of some of my favorite lyrics of hers in order that they appeared in the artbook:

I will let you go if you will let somebody love you like I do...
- Want It Back

the boys declare their feelings
but it doesn't feel like feelings
it feels like they're pretending
it's like they just want blowjobs
and they know these songs will get them
and also:
after all this I should know you
well enough not to get into it
I should learn but I'm an idiot
you only want an argument
- Grown Man Cry

killing things is not so hard
it's hurting that's the hardest part
- Trout Heart Replica
no one's ever lost forever
they are caught inside your heart
if you garden them and water them
they make you what you are
- Lost
and you said
all the money in the world won't buy a bed so big and wide
to guarantee that you won't accidentally touch me in the night
- The Bed Song
in the space where your
brain and your heart collide
you're convinced there's a practical place
that you can hide
and:
it's hard to work on an assembly line of broken hearts
not supposed to fix them only strip and sell the parts
- Berlin
I must admit that Amanda Palmer is one of my all-time favorite musicians right now. Clearly. If you hadn't already noticed. Also, unsurprisingly, the concert last night was brilliant!
