First off, before I say anything else, I have to post a link.
THIS. Apparently I made such a good impression on the food truck guy that he posted online looking for me. Made me laugh so hard in an oddly appreciative but bemused kind of way.
And yeah, what the heck, I totally responded back to the post.
Looking forward, I feel that autumn will pass me by quite quickly. I'm starting an 8-week introductory Spanish class on Monday for work since we get a decent amount of Spanish-speakers on the phone. A vegan tasting seminar on Thurs, yoga on Saturday as usual, tea tasting on Sunday, and the week after a 4-week beginner bellydance class with the fabulous Shahrzad, one of my friends who is a bellydance instructor.
Halloween is also coming up and I am almost finished with assembling my Lady Snowblood (Shirayuki-hime) costume; I just need to gore out my white kimono with blood and I'll be good to go once the rest of my packages come in the mail.
November and December brings concerts and signings, namely that of a VIP meet-and-greet with the j-rocker Miyavi, a book signing for Erin Morgenstern (of The Night Circus fame), a couple of goth/industrial events, Tori Amos, and my favorite - VNV Nation. Not to mention a trip home for a week to SoCal for Yuletide - my first December home in 5 years!
So I have things to look forward to and things to occupy my time. For now, it is evening and I might just settle in with my audiobook of Cathrynne Valente's The Habitation of the Blessed: A Dirge for Prester John Volume 1 while trying my horribly new knitting skills making a crimson skinny scarf that I just have to wear to Erin Morgenstern's book signing event. If you've read her book you'll understand.
So that's that. And I sign off with a light heart.
