My friends are awesome!
As many of you might know I fainted at the Emilie Autumn concert in Feb. It was from sheer stupidity on my part and resulted in the loss of my adorable Angelic Pretty pinstripe mini top hat.
Apparently all the Plague Rats that I met up with before the show felt bad for me because of how pissed off I was that someone stole my hat sometime during my fainting spell - so they all chipped in and bought me a new hat!! How cool is that?!! It was an absolute surprise - I had no idea this was coming - and I was so grateful and amazing at how wonderful people can be sometimes. It really made my day.
With that said, my day was actually pretty good anyway. I went to a gothic lolita x steampunk cherry blossom viewing picnic here in D.C. and had a lovely, lovely time. Alas, I (stupidly) forgot my camera but there will be some photos of the event floating around soon. I was in an h. Naoto Blood summer yukata that I bought a year or two ago in Osaka, a Heavy Red corset, and hime-cut wig with little red rams horn hair clips that made some people think that I was dressed up as a devil. Whoops, I didn't even think of that.
Spellbound (gothy club night) on Saturday night was ok, too, but nothing much to write about. Tronik on Thursday (a once a month to once every two months gothy club event) was much, much better. I had a blast at Tronik.

All in all a pretty decent weekend. I really needed that as I've been feeling a bit down lately. Good way to cheer me up and let me know that there are still amazing people around in my life.
As a random aside, there is a crazy lightning storm going on outside my window. I keep seeing flashes of light out of the corner of my eye But no rain. The weather here in D.C. is a bit crazy.
