Namjatown BATSU GAME, ice cream version.

Had a lovely dinner with sankakukoen eating gyoza at the restaurant section of Ikebukuro's Namjatown (a sort of summer festival-themed indoor park w/haunted mansion and random things to do).

The best part was the ice cream store that had all the flavors that you love.... and then some. So our "batsu" game involved picking out the worst flavors to try and here's what we came up with:

Miso (right, Matt's flavor), Indian Curry (middle, my flavor), Wasabi (left, Kate's flavor).
Sadly (I think?) I won that round because aw man who ever thought of curry-flavored ice cream was a little mental. It was absolutely disgusting!! I was a-OK with the miso (not a particular favorite but definitely edible) and the wasabi was rather odd and spicy but still manageable to palate (barely). But that Indian Curry ice cream was just disgusting. Haha. Too bad I don't live in Tokyo because I would have definitely gone back for another batsu game some other time, maybe involving the "chicken wing" flavor or the "rice" flavor - or both! I could make a dinner ice cream set! Haha. Ugh, that'd be awful!! ^^;
