Basterds Promos

Apr 19, 2010 16:17

Alright, huge photo post (the post, and the photos within the post) coming atcha.  This was originally posted by this basterd in christophdaily.

I don't know who's seen these, who hasn't, but I had only encountered some of them in smaller form and the rest are entirely new to me!

Apparently the character promos were released prior to the movie for Vanity Fair, and the ones with Quentin markin on Diane are from some kind of retrospective he did on his career.  The ones with Diane against the gray background are from a promo shoot done, I'm assuming, for the posters.

Did anyone here ever find the origin of the Christophs at the bottom?  The last I heard we were still unsure of where they came from - I think somebody found them on Tumblr a couple months ago.

So anyway, enjoy!  Read!  Attack!  Watch!  Discuss!  Drool!  There's also a little extra something at the end..

And though these have been posted before, they do go with the set.

Das ist ein Bingo.

Extra Bits.

Quentin riles the crowd at the Cinema Society and Hugo Boss screening.  (Vastly more interesting than Diane Kruger being "starstruck.."  Um...)
"I said, are you ready to see some Basterds fuck up some Nazis? Yeah, motherfucker!" -Quentin Tarantino

and.. Alyson Hannigan (Willow, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) recently got some shit for screwing up a German accent on Ellen. (Video included.) The writer of this article seemed to be making it into a big deal, but as you can see from the comments, it was just sort of..amusing. I don't think any Germans were actually offended.
"Ohhh, STAND IN LINE!"
